Mikrotronics Pakistan

Founded in 2005, Mikrotronics Pakistan has spent two decades at the intersection of technology and education. We build thoughtful, purposeful software — tools that make a genuine difference in how professionals work, teach, and deliver care.

Our work spans across multiple domains, but what ties it all together is a commitment to simplicity, reliability, and solving problems that actually matter. We don't build for the sake of building. Every product starts with a real pain point observed by real practitioners.

CardioClinic is our flagship healthcare product — born not in a startup incubator, but in an operating theatre and a clinic, by someone who has spent decades on both sides of the technology-medicine divide.

Where the scalpel meets the keyboard

Surgeon by training · Technologist by passion

Dr. Amer Iqbal Qureshi is one of those rare individuals who genuinely straddles two worlds. As a practising Cardiac Surgeon, he understands — at a visceral level — what it means to manage complex patient records, track long-term outcomes, and make critical decisions under pressure. He has lived the frustrations that most surgical data systems create rather than solve.

At the same time, as a passionate technologist and educator, he has spent decades thinking about how software should work — how it should feel intuitive, reduce friction, and empower rather than burden the clinician. He has taught technology to generations of students, and built systems across multiple domains.

When he founded Mikrotronics Pakistan in 2005, it was with a single conviction: technology is only valuable when it genuinely serves the people using it. CardioClinic is the product of that conviction applied to the specialty he knows best — cardiac surgery.

The result is a platform that doesn't just store data — it reflects how a cardiac surgeon actually thinks, documents, and follows up on patients.

Why CardioClinic exists

Most cardiac surgeons manage patient data in spreadsheets, paper files, or generic hospital systems never designed for surgical follow-up. There had to be a better way.

The Status Quo

  • No affordable, purpose-built database for cardiac surgery practices
  • Custom-built solutions cost tens of thousands and require dedicated IT staff to maintain
  • Generic EMRs lack the depth needed for surgical outcomes — no echo trends, no cath haemodynamics, no graft-level CABG logging
  • Data trapped on a single device — inaccessible from the ward, the clinic, or home
  • No way to query your own cohort for research or audit without exporting to Excel and writing formulas

The CardioClinic Way

  • Purpose-built for cardiac surgery — every field, every relationship, designed around how surgeons actually work
  • SaaS model dramatically reduces cost — no installation, no servers, no IT overhead
  • Full depth: echo trends, cath haemodynamics, graft-level CABG, INR tracking, congenital detail
  • Available anywhere, anytime — from any device with a browser
  • AI natural-language query engine — ask clinical questions in plain English and get answers instantly

Designed by a surgeon

Every field and workflow was designed by someone who has actually operated, followed up patients, and needed to find a record at 2 AM. No guesswork — lived experience.

Fraction of the cost

A custom database built by a local developer costs PKR 500,000+ upfront, plus ongoing maintenance fees. CardioClinic delivers more, for a predictable monthly subscription.

Nothing to install

Open a browser, log in, and your entire patient database is there — on your laptop, tablet, or phone. No installers, no updates to manage, no backups to remember.

Available anywhere, anytime

Clinic, ward, ICU, home — your data follows you. Securely access any patient record from any location. Your team can collaborate in real time across departments.

Maintained & evolving

When you build your own system, you own the maintenance burden. With CardioClinic, every update, security patch, and new feature is delivered automatically — at no extra cost.

AI-powered insights

Ask clinical questions in plain English and receive instant, accurate answers from your own dataset. Query your cohort for research, morbidity reviews, and audit — without writing a single formula.

Built by a surgeon who understood the gap.
